One of the most exciting and frustrating struggles of becoming an online entrepreneur is building new websites. You have spent all your hard work and time to only find that no one has gone to your website. One of the easiest ways to get traffic is through search engines by getting crawled and indexed.

This is my complete SEO guide to getting your new website crawled and indexed quickly.

1.) Search Engine Submission
Submit your site to the top 3 search engines. Don’t worry waste your time on auto search engine submitters because the big 3 will get you covered. Google,Yahoo, MSN

2.) Automatic Backlinks
Major search engines will crawl popular sites more often and easiest way to get crawled is by having a link on popular sites. Here are some neat sites that will give you automatic backlinks. Replace the site url with your url.
For instance for us it would be http://www.aboutus.org/llank.com

http://www.aboutus.org/”siteurl”
http://cubestat.com/”siteurl”
http://whois.domaintools.com/”siteurl”

3.) Directory Submissions
Now that you’ve done some automatic backlinks time to move onto some manual submissions. I found that SubmitterBot is very useful in submitting to a large number of directories very fast. Sign up and the first site you like to submit is free. After you sign up fill in your blog/site info and go to Directory submissions. The site basically fills in the submissions for different web directories. The tool is semi-automatic and all you need to do for each directory is fill in the category.

4.)  Social Bookmarking
Sites like Digg, Reddit, Mixx get crawled very often because of their popularity. Submit your sites to a few of these bookmarking sites and you’ll be indexed in no time.

5.) Comments and Forum Signatures
Commenting on similar blogs is a great way to build up links and extra traffic.  Just make sure that the blogs you comment do not have rel=”nofollow” as these links do not give you any credit towards your Google Page Rank.Forum signatures are also a great opportunity to  build links up. Find a relevant forum that allows signatures with follow through links.

6.) Creating Sitemaps
Sitemaps are xml files that map your site. This gives search engines directions on how to crawl your site. Providing sitemaps usually increases crawl depth and creates greater visibility within searches. To create a sitemap you can go to XML-Sitemaps and generate your own. Go to Google Webmaster Tools to add your sites and sitemaps.
